East Indian Lemongrass, Cymbopogon flexuosus, is quite different from West Indian Lemongrass, Cymbopogon citratus. East Indian Lemongrass has a fruity, sweet, earthy aroma with a very high citral content. This variety is typically preferred in natural perfume blends because of its sweeter yet complex lemon-like aroma.
