Description
Lime oil is often divided into two categories, expressed and steam distilled. Steam distilled Lime oil is clean with a typical citrus, fruity, fresh aroma. Expressed Lime oils tend to produce a darker oil with sweeter notes and faint lemon nuances. For this reason perfumers prefer expressed Lime oil. Both expressed and distilled Lime oil naturally contains varying quantities of limonene, pinene, dipentene, citral, and C8, C9 and C10 aldehydes.
