Have you tried our Nootka Tree Oil?
08/09/2014

Botanical Name: Nootka Tree (Cupressus nootkatensis)
Origin: Sourced and distilled sustainably in Canada.
Olfactory Description: Warm woody with a sandalwood top note. Leathery and smoky with patchouli and vetiver notes. Aromatic.

Nootka Tree Oil (Cupressus nootkatensis) is steam-distilled from the heart wood of the Nootka Tree (it is also called Alaska Cypress or Yellow Cedar). The oil provides a rich deep woody note and it's character naturally lends itself to be used with materials such as patchouli, sandalwood and cedarwood. In these combinations and others, it adds more depth of character and boosts the overall impact.

Many have discovered that Nootka Tree Oil can be used as an inexpensive alternative to traditional woody notes such as Virginia Cedarwood Oil. While the Nootka costs more on a per kilogram basis than the Virginia, it is up to 10 times more powerful, providing a substantial cost savings.
